Web site evaluation and conformance
At Technosite, we have developed an evaluation methodology which enables us to check a Web site’s level of accessibility: “Single-A”, “Double-A” or “Triple-A” (conformance levels deLasted by the W3C/WAI’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
Depending on the level of conformance to which the Web site aspires, a series of checkpoints will be evaluated to see if they meet the priority levels corresponding to each of theabove-mentioned conformance levels (priority one checkpoints for “Single-A”, priority one and two for “Double-A”, and priority one, two and three for “Triple-A”). The conformance level Technosite recommends is “Double-A”.
Our evaluation methodology involves selecting a representative sample of the Web pages on a site. Once these have been reviewed, and in order for the Web developer to locate them, we make a report on the errors encountered according to technical or technological elements. We then provide recommendations and techniques for solving the problems detected.
If the result of the evaluation is positive, Technosite will certify the Web site’s accessibility with a logo to show conformance (“Single-A”, “Double-A” or “Triple-A”).
